Control your mind

So… your scared, confused and you feel like you are the only one, the only one that thinks and feels the way you do! The challenges we face in life often look like this, this self doubt and low self esteem. Anytime we face new experiences or old fears doubt and confuse roll in and often take over our everyday thinking. Sometimes all we have to experience is someone being irritated with us to fall into a black pit of negative thinking. The problem is every time we look outside of ourselves for confirmation that we are ok we get mixed signals sometime people are supportive other time they are not and we are much more likely to believe those that are not supportive even though we pretend not to care.
First we have to be careful who we listen to and who we hang out with since positive energy is catching you want to focus on having positive people around you and in your life. Next you must learn to control your mind I am sure you are recognizing a reoccurring theme in my writing. The brain produces the negative thoughts the mind responds either by expanding or contracting based on whether or not you are having positive thoughts or negative thoughts. When the mind is expanding because of our positive thinking we are using the law of attraction and it is working for us. When the mind is contracting because of negative thinking the law of attraction is still working for us only now it is pulling negative things into our lives instead of positive.
In case this sounds a little strange think about when you are scared if you concentrate on thinking about your fear you become more fearful. If you take a deep breath or two and concentrate on something positive and enjoyable the fear recedes. When the fear recedes you are in control of your thoughts and your mind is expanding (more on the mind later).
Practice:
Think about a stressful event or decision you have made in the past and check in with how you feel is your chest tight, your breath shallow or harsh, or your pulse rate increased? What are you feeling?
Next take a couple of deep breathes think of a fun or happy event in the past and check in with how you feel is your chest tight, your breath shallow or harsh, or your pulse rate increased? What are you feeling?
